How Inspirational Art Elevates Your Home

3 black and white family pictures above sofa

For many of us, our homes are more than just a place to live—they are a canvas for our life's story. Every room, every piece of furniture, and every decor choice reflects the memories, values, and passions we hold dear. While a comfortable couch or a beautiful rug makes a house a home, it's the art on the walls that truly gives it a soul.

We all know the power of a stunning landscape or a vibrant abstract painting to transform a room. But what if art could do more than just add beauty? What if it could inspire you every single day? This is the magic of truly inspirational art.

Inspirational art isn't just about beautiful pictures; it's about art that speaks to you. It's the quote that encourages you, the verse that brings you peace, or the collection of words that reminds you of your life's most cherished moments. When you fill your home with pieces that hold deep personal meaning, you are creating a space that nurtures your spirit and reminds you of what matters most.

What is Inspirational Art?

Inspirational art refers to different types of art—from paintings and sculptures to music and literature—that can uplift and motivate people. Unlike art made just for looks, inspirational art aims to connect with viewers on a personal level and resonate with their beliefs, experiences, and dreams.

The essence of inspirational art is its ability to touch us deeply. It can come in various forms, but it generally focuses on:

Evoking feelings or memories: Art might remind you of a loved one, a special moment, or a shared experience, bringing warmth and a sense of belonging to your home.

Providing motivation: This art can include a quote that inspires you to persevere or a symbol of strength, serving as a daily reminder of your goals and values.

Celebrating life’s milestones: It can visually represent significant events like weddings, births, or graduations, turning a memory into a meaningful piece of art.

This philosophy drives the custom pieces we create at Susan Newberry Designs. As an interior designer, I believe that beautiful spaces tell a story. With my background in graphic design, I blend artistry with personal history. My daughter Alison and I work together to make unique, personalized gifts that are not just beautiful but are also treasured heirlooms.

Art That Tells a Story

Our most popular pieces are our custom word clouds. Unlike generic prints, these are a unique form of inspirational art. Imagine a beautiful canvas or print on your wall, shaped like a heart, a tree, or even the outline of your home state, filled with the names of family members, significant dates, or the words of a wedding song. These aren't just pieces of decor; they are a visual celebration of your journey. They are art that inspires by telling your own story.

This holiday season, think about giving a gift that truly inspires. A custom word cloud or a personalized subway sign from Susan Newberry Designs is a gift that will be treasured for years to come. It’s an opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind piece that celebrates a graduation, an anniversary, or the bonds of family. Don’t wait to create a gift that not only decorates a home but also touches a heart. Our quick turnaround time means you can have a proof ready in just 24-48 hours, so you can surprise a loved one with a gift that is as unique as they are.

Let's work together to create an art piece that not only fills a wall but also fills a home with inspiration and love.

Thanks for stopping by,

Until next time…

Hi, I’m Susan! I’ve spent the last 10 years building my online company. I’ve always loved everything to do with design. In fact, after raising my kids, I decided to go to school and get my degree in Interior Design. While running my own interior design company, I started teaching and found that teaching was what I really loved. Combine that with Interior Design and well, you could say I was on cloud nine. I always loved the technical side of design which led me to graphic design and after studying graphic design, I was encouraged to open an Etsy shop to sell some of my creations. With my attention to detail and being somewhat of a perfectionist, graphic design made perfect sense. In December of 2018, I decided to retire from teaching and devote myself full time to my business and I haven’t looked back since! I love designing art for the home and would love to create something special for you.

It’s true what they say, “Love what you do, and you will never work a day in your life.”
